Bhupe ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of ADD Technologies, 5th Floor, Krishna Plaza, Brodipet, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh 522002, India. We operate the Bhupe platform — a WhatsApp-first apartment maintenance management system.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services, including our WhatsApp bot, web application, and admin dashboard.

From Residents:

• WhatsApp phone number (used to identify and communicate)
• Flat number and apartment association
• Payment information (UPI transaction IDs, payment screenshots)
• Language preference

From Administrators / Treasurers:

• Name, email address, and password (hashed)
• Apartment and society details
• UPI ID and payment configuration
• Expense and financial records entered into the dashboard

Automatically collected:

• WhatsApp message metadata (timestamps, delivery status)
• IP address and browser type when accessing the web dashboard
• Usage logs for security and debugging

• To process and confirm maintenance payments via WhatsApp
• To send automated payment reminders on the 5th, 15th, and 25th of each month
• To generate ledger entries, balance sheets, and PDF receipts
• To allow treasurers to manage flats, residents, and collections
• To provide customer support via WhatsApp (+91 89 858 858 98)
• To improve our services and fix bugs

We use the Meta WhatsApp Business API to send and receive messages. By messaging our bot at +91 89 858 858 98, you consent to the processing of your phone number and message content for payment processing purposes.

We do not use your WhatsApp data for advertising or share it with third-party marketing services. Message logs are retained for 90 days for audit and dispute resolution purposes.

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Payment screenshots are stored in encrypted cloud storage and auto-deleted after 30 days of payment confirmation.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• JWT-based authentication with short-lived tokens
• HTTPS/TLS encryption on all data in transit
• Role-based access control (admin, treasurer, superadmin)
• Redis session management with 30-minute TTL

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Meta (WhatsApp): for message delivery
• Supabase: for database hosting
• Cloudflare: for CDN and image hosting
• Your apartment's treasurer/admin: who can view payment status for their society only

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Opt out of automated reminders by messaging "STOP" to our WhatsApp number
• Request a copy of your payment history

Our web dashboard uses essential cookies only — for authentication (JWT tokens stored in localStorage) and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Bhupe is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify administrators via the dashboard and residents via WhatsApp broadcast when material changes are made. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
